Stop The ACLU ^ | 5 Sep 07 | Jay777

He has gathered a few critics for playing the game differently, but I think he still stands out unique. He’ll be on Leno tonight and announce on his website. Here is the video of his first ad which will air during the Republican debate he is missing for Leno.

Watch Video Here.

Shh!!!!!

Freds noncurable cancer is not to be spoken of. We would rather wait for the MSM to bring it up during the general election if Fred gets the nomination.

I absolutely do not want to be petty, I really do appreciate the ad, but I must ask, is the first "still" picture of him in front of the flag from a couple of years ago? He does look "fuller" there. It may just be the angles, but there is a noticeable weight loss in the talking portion. But you are right he still sounds strong.

I noticed it too but didn't want to be nitpicky over it. Could have just been a rush job and they failed to correct aspect ratio or they thought their best pic was an older one.

And that Fred voice is an asset. I don't care what anybody says.

I agree with you Squidpup ( and that picture is too cute!)

Those who troll these threads with their bitterness and deceit are not doing anything except helping Hillary.

Did I just hear correctly on FOX...per Carl Cameron

Fred Thompson would oppose a Constitutional amendment banning gay marriage...that Evangelicals support.?

..supposedly this is a new announcement.

Nothing new. He prefers to stick to the Defense of Marriage Act and let the states decide. I’m ok with that.

I believe that if the DOM act is struck down, and states start trying to impose gay marriage on other states, he would be ok with an amendment.

He does need to clarify that immediately, IMHO, before it really gains traction.

As an aside, I don't see why we couldn't have some constitutional amendment that would override the FF&C clause for the marriage issue. Kind of like DOMA enshrined as an amendment.

Are we having a live thread for Leno and Fred's webcast tonight, BTW?

Probably.

I guess I’ll start one around 10 or 10:30 ET.

Now — I don’t know this Fred — I don’t know what he does — I don’t know what he lives on. Now why don’t you tell him that the presidency is out of the question, and we don’t want to see him anymore. Now he’ll understand, believe me.

Wrong, but thanks for playing.

A very large number of people are extremely interested to see and hear more from Fred precisely because he’s one of the top two most viable candidates for the Republican nomination of 2008.

Hands down the MOST viable, as far as many are concerned.

Blah, blah, blah. Tell me your going to declare a state of emergency and build a 2,000 mile fence, fine employers who hire illegals, take away the anchor baby law, take away social services given to illegals, privatize schools or have a voucher program, reduce the size of government, police welfare fraud, etc...... Then maybe I’ll vote for you. Until then it is the Constitution Party!!

The strategy is to plug the website. He’s not planning on using the media to get his message out. He’s planning on bypassing them.

I think its a great way to get the nation to notice.
