Sporting a suit, a tie and a slight sunburn, Clinton spoke to an audience that included former secretary of state Madeleine Albright, Harvard intellectual Cornel West, Food Network star Rachael Ray and a host of philanthropists. Smiley introduced Clinton, saying, "I make a prediction that in a few hours this book will be at the top of the New York Times bestseller list."

Please try to support two books topping the Times' list now, Quiet Strength by Tony Dungy and Lone Survivor by Marcus Luttrell.
Clinton has the huge advantage of being on Oprah since Oprah won't even have Dungy on as a guest. Dungy's book is very good. If anyone can circulate it on the blogs and message boards, and even get Smiley's quote to Rush, maybe Rush can push the Dungy and Luttrell books.
Oh, Clinton’s book is also helped by the fact that Dungy’s sales at Christian bookstores don’t even count toward the NY Time’s list. It made it to No. 1 without counting one sale at a Christian store.
I hope this book addresses bubba’s sexual predator brethren. They, like Clinton, should be making further contributions to his library in Little Crock.
since Oprah won’t even have Dungy on as a guest.
Why not?
Oh, and I think the "reporter" is way behind the times. West now infests the Princeton faculty, because Harvard "dissed" him by asking him to do some actual scholarship. I've done more scholarship in my spare time in the last decade than West did as a full-time "University Scholar" at Harvard. Lord knows what he's doing at Princeton, other than pretending to be a real professor.

He is not black enough. He was when he won the super bowl but not now when we understand his values are not like black people Oprah likens herself to.
>>>>>>guests included......Food Network star Rachael Ray<<<<<<
NOOOO!!! Say it ain’t so, Rachael!
IOW, he won’t play the victim? Good for him.
I suggest the Clintons collaborate with the IRS and their CPAs and publish their tax returns for say, the last 25 years, so we can all see how generous they’ve been.
Even including the dirty socks to Goodwill.
Yuuuckoooo!
“I make a prediction that in a few weeks this book will be at the top of the 99 cent stores bestseller list.”
I guess I am getting very old, I remember when Knopf was a very credible publisher. I’ll bet Rachael Ray has not read very many books that did not have recipes in them, it takes so much time and energy being perky, and it takes it toll as Katie Couric can attest.
Who knows??? A friend of mine from church is a publicist for Dungy’s book and he’s done an amazing job (obviously with great help from a wonderful man and a really good book). The book has reached No. 1 on the Times’ list and the list doesn’t even count Christian book stores.
They’ve gone to Oprah numerous times to try to get Oprah to get Dungy on and the show won’t commit. Larry King’s show also turned Dungy down back in July. The book made No. 1 without Oprah, without Larry King, and without Christian book stores counting.
Yeah, Rachel Ray, She’s in with that kind of crowd now. I think she wishes to be the “White Oprah”! She should just stick to cooking, her taste in people is well... underdeveloped.
Now I know why my wife can’t stand Rachel Ray.
Clinton’s book is already No. 1 on Barnes and Noble the very first day it was released.
I think you’ve answered your own question.Oprah is not going to have on anyone who’s a Christian and writes about their faith helping them.
