What if Thompson had gotten into the race in July instead of September? He wouldnt be facing this headwind. ..But, of course, it’s not clear he wants to be President as much as Guliani does.

I will not vote for Rudy under any circumstances. If the Republicans want my vote in 2008, they had better nominate a conservative.

Rudy Giuliani - the thrice-married presidential candidate who staunchly supported abortion rights, gun control and gay rights as the Big Apple's mayor - is receiving a surprising level of support from social and religious conservatives.
This is a hard pill for me to swallow because I am a conservative Christian, but the truth is the truth. RG is getting support from many social conservatives because, frankly, many social conservatives are woefully ignorant of politics and American government in general, both theory and practice. Too many in the church have swallowed the media pushed, culturally correct pill that government can solve our problems. God in heaven help us.

Greg Alterton, 55, a Californian evangelical who blogs for the site, was troubled by Giuliani's personal scandals but said, "We're not electing the head spouse."His personal life worries me a lot less than his gun grabbing (indeed, his not even understanding the BoR), and his support for the gay agenda.

A lot of this is still pure name recognition. We’ve haven’t seen organized resistance by the Religious Right or the gun lobby. They’re holding their fire for now. I think they’re hoping the base will reject him without them attacking him. But I have no doubt they have ad campaigns and a series of hit pieces ready to roll as the primaries get near.

Anything we can dig up on him?!?"
(Given the picture in the article, I had to...)
Remember... you can't spell "Rudolph Giuliani" without RINO.

This is about as credible as the upcomming recycled, husband is a republican wife is a democrat election stories.
Perhaps we need a thread of recycled stories.
