Oh I am not unhappy, just telling what it was like for engineers in my arena. I have a bird nest on the ground in my company and as you state , if I am willing to travel, a job just about anywhere.

I wasn’t directing my comments to you, I was giving Cogadh na Sith, who seems miserable in his job, a pep talk. You were in on the conversation, so I included you.
By some strange happenstance, and in spite of my being a truck driver most of my life, most of my friends are engineers. One of them is forty years old and doing great with a defense subcontractor. He has had no problem rising through the ranks. Perhaps Cogadh na Sith is working for the wrong company, or in the wrong geographical area. I do know that I never hear my friends complaining about their jobs.
