Newspaper Snookered in Bizarre Story Demonizing Karl Rove?

The Pasadena Star News is out with a column by Frank Clark, an "occasional contributor" to the newspaper from Arcadia, California which alleges that, upon his resignation last week, Karl Rove, former Presidential Advisor to George W. Bush, never talked about his adopted father who allegedly was a body piercer and gay. See: http://www.pasadenastarnews.com/opinions/ci_6781463
The story cited above is a doctored version of a prior bizarre story entitled "A Little Bit of History" published in the August 16 issue of the BME News (Body Modification Ezine - an adult website with graphic depictions of body piercings, some of which appear for an apparent "gay" submarket) which alleged that Karl Rove's father was an avid fan of body piercing. The difference between the two versions is that the column appearing in the Pasadena Star News has added alleged gossip that Karl Rove's father by adoption, Louie Rove, was not only a body piercer, but gay. Note that the email address listed at the bottom of both versions is the same yarddog4u@gmail.com
This makes us wonder if author Frank Clark is a real person. And if he is why is the Pasadena Star News publishing edited versions of his fanticized sexual ramblings and political slander?
The apparent point of the column by Frank Clark is to question whether Karl Rove grieved for his alleged gay adopted father at his funeral and why Rove didn't talk about him at his resignation ceremony -- an apparent test of gay sensitivity and political correctness. And why would the Pasadena Star News publish this when Karl Rove's adopted father is dead, making the story about body piercing or being gay unverifiable, if only to cut the powerful and famous down to size and demonize them by gossip?
This is an example of what might be called "mirror journalism" - mirror back to readers what you believe they want to hear to confirm their suspicions - that Karl Rove is another mean-spirited and uncompassionate Republican who didn't even show up at his adopted gay father's funeral (although this is never verified) and didn't give his adopted gay father any credit for raising him at his resignation press conference. This should resonate quite well with the media audience in the paranoid political culture in Pasadena and elsewhere. Such stories tell us more about the mindset and hatred of the writer than about Karl Rove.
Mark Twain once wrote "a lie can go half way around the world before truth had a chance to put its boots on." We wonder how far this apparent viscious rumor will go and how fast?
Rove has already driven the moonbats off the cliff more than 10 times.......

You know, I was thinking. When people decide to vote; they should really think before voting for Hillary. They could be next on her hit list. It appears she has info on everyone? I wonder if she uses classified government sites other than the FBI files we know about to obtain this info. It is something worth considering because people like her will turn on everyone.
Um, how do we KNOW that Rove’s step-father is not gay and does not have genital piercings? The story is awful far and wide and I have never seen Rove repudiate it. Seems to me that this one is explosive enough for him to have angrily denied it if untrue.
So, convince me that this story of Rove’s step-dad is untrue.
By even bothering to repudiate this nonsense he will give it credibility.

No. Not at all.
I am NOT in any mood to "defame" Karl Rove because he is a brilliant political strategist. But before I pronounce this story about his step-dad a false one, I need proof that it IS false!!
Besides, why should a wacky step-dad reflect badly on Karl, anyway? If his step-dad was a gay, body piercing, goof-ball, so what?
It's what Karl did with HIS life that is important here. I just don't care if his step-dad was gay or a Martian... or a gay Martian.
But here is the important thing for us to consider. It is easy to assume that such stories just can't be true... but stranger things have happened in life. And before we start calling newspapers names and denouncing them we'd BETTER have our OWN facts straight.
So, once again, I ask anyone out there -- ANYBODY -- to prove this story is fake, that Karl Rove's step-dad is NOT a gay body piercer.

I am neither believing this story nor disbelieving it. I want PROOF one way or the other before I pass judgment.

His step father was “gay”, Rove didn’t know growing up that he was his step father, his mother committed suicide in 1981, after the divorce.
I’m not sure why any of this is important.
No one is asking you to pass judgment on Karl Rove or truth of any story. In fact you have demonstrated your judgment is irrelevant.
It is an old trick of the left to accuse and then stand back and demand that the negative be proven, no matter how spurious or baseless the original charge might be. No one has to play your game.
Well, you guys are not doing yourselves any favors by acting like such fools. You all want to believe it is false.... so you do, no proof required, no facts need apply. You yell at me for “not having proof” it is a true story... yet I never said I did. Still, not a ONE of you have proven the story is false despite that I’ve asked you to show me your proof half a dozen times.
I don’t believe the story just because some mentally defective fag wrote it in a body piercing magazine. For all I know it is fake as heck. But unlike you people, the TRUTH means something to me. So, if this story is true, then so be it. If it is false, so much the better. But PROOF one way or the other is needed before WE (not just me but WE) ALL condemn a newspaper that regurgitated the story. MY opinion of it being false or not is NOT the issue at all. The TRUTH is the issue!!!!
Unless, of course, not one of you CARE about the truth. If that is the case, then everything the left says about you would be true. Do you want THAT to be the case? I sure don’t.
