Yes, it was a shameless push to get himself hired (and he released it to his supporters in an e-mail, not on air). He later had to take it back and told people to not send so much e-mail. Guess the guy really wants that job, and also that Morgan didn’t take it too seriously since he got a second audition.

Sorry to be so negative, but there’s no act that can match Matt on the radio on Sundays... I mean, Matt’s knowledge and sense of humor, aside from all the “cuts” and bumper music he prepares to go on-air, are what makes the show fun. I need party-like hilarity by the time Sunday night comes around.
Batchelor and Joe Pags are okay, but for a much older audience, in my view. Chris Plante would be a great sub.
