College fraternities, long known as bastions of grace and decorum, are these days featuring yet one more accoutrement of scholastic refinement - the stripper pole. The most important campus development since the keg, the stripper pole shines like a luminous totem festooning the halls of the American academy. ---snip--- Post-feminists argue that the pole is empowering. If a young woman chooses to use it, they say, she is telling the world that she is in charge of her sexuality.

And women say they are feminists and independent? They play into what men want every single day of their lives. Women are their own worst enemies aren’t they? Sad.

The deceptive words used by the left almost destroy the meaning of meaning.
To: Kid Shelleen
This is stupid. Statistically, there are perhaps a handful of young women who “argue that the pole is empowering”.
People always take the fringe and make them out to be the majority.

No, they’ve ended up much below where they started. They stepped off the pedestal, slid down the pole and landed into the muck.

Post-feminists argue that the pole is empowering. If a young woman chooses to use it, they say, she is telling the world that she is in charge of her sexuality. What a joke.
Wait another 10 years, and college girls will probably be wearing burqas or hijabs and telling of how "empowered" and "liberated" it makes them feel.

Article continues: “ There was a time when feminism was about women being smart and assertive, and building inner strength.
Somewhere along the line, though, it morphed into slut culture. Girls tell themselves they’re in charge. But they’re still just strutting it for the boys.”

If a young woman chooses to use it, they say, she is telling the world that she is in charge of her sexuality. Unless she uses a pimp. But these are college girls, I'm sure they're all going to run their own business.

And women say they are feminists and independent? They play into what men want every single day of their lives. And what is it that men do? If not play into what their woman wants, every single day of their lives...?
