For the unionists who are fearful of competition, no doubt it is.
For consumers, manufacturers, the retail industry, and the majority of Americans, having Mexican trucks on American highways will eventually be a great benefit. Just as having Mexican airliners flying to American airports is, and Mexican oil flowing to American refineries has been for many decades.
If, by chance, you just plain don't like Mexicans, just say so. We understand.
Yeah, keep telling yourself that.
Unions my a$$.
We have these Mexicans smuggling in hundreds of tons of drugs EVERY YEAR, not to mention illegal human cargo by the tens of thousands...And Lord knows what else.
And suggest some American labor union is the problem?
Sheesh!
FGS! We are surrounded by traitors...
Profits before country, regardless of consequences.
I hope that the DOT will require the Mexican truckers to follow the exact same regs that our truckers have to follow, carry the same or higher insurance that ours have to carry, that their trucks meet or exceed the same safety and equipment standards ours have to meet and that their drivers are licensed to the same or higher standards that ours have to be licensed to.
Whoa! Seems I’ve heard this argument before.
Port authorities have a woefully inadequate system of inspection. With these trucks added to the burden, I predict that smuggling and human trafficking will increase exponentially.
That’s not racism. It’s just prudent.
Mexican airliners, as do airliners of many countries do not fly to American airports as you falsely suggest. They are allowed to fly into a port of entry and then they depart the United States. So take your straw man and restuff him Mr. Logician.
” having Mexican trucks on American highways will eventually be a great benefit. Just as having Mexican airliners flying to American airports is, and Mexican oil flowing to American refineries has been for many decades.
Not all equal.
Airlines good
Oil good
Mexican truckers will bring in:
drugs
illegals
cause more fatalities
take more American jobs.
“If, by chance, you just plain don’t like Mexicans, just say so. We understand.”
Honestly, of all the insipid posts to me, yours takes the cake, hands down!
One of my 2 business partners, Mr. Cota, was born in San Carlos. We are building in San Carlos. I am going to have a home in San Carlos.
Have a nice day.
“For the unionists who are fearful of competition, no doubt it is.”
I’m certainly no fan of the unions but thats not a fair statement. The playing field is not level. The mexican companies and ports can certainly undercut the US because they don’t have to comply with all the regulations. Their trucks don’t need safety inspections or even routine maintenance.
“For consumers, manufacturers, the retail industry, and the majority of Americans, having Mexican trucks on American highways will eventually be a great benefit.”
How, because of lower prices? I’ll pay a dollar extra if it means my kids won’t be killed by a drugged up trucker without brakes.
“Just as having Mexican airliners flying to American airports is,”
Airlines have to comply with FCC regulations to land in the US. Again not a equal comparison.
“Mexican oil flowing to American refineries has been for many decades.”
Mexican oil flowing through american pipelines or ships. Bzzzzz, please try again.
You're running this cover? Why? We all heard that from the radical leftist and Communist early on in this violent invasion of America. That was the tool used.
What's your real motive here? Profits regardless of consequences?
It isn’t that we don’t like Mexicans, we don’t like Mexico refusing to modernize, clean up corruption, educate its people, refusal to offer decent jobs and health care. The list is endless. They’re dumping the poorest quarter, no...third of the country over the border into the US and receiving millions in remittances. It’s ethnic cleansing and it’s bad. Whole villages in Mexico stand empty, and the oligarchy just gets richer.
Mexico’s culture, language, and mores are not that of the US. These illegal aliens may or may not plan to assimilate, most want to make enough money to go back home and buy a villa in Mexico. They intend to rip off the US since they think they’re ‘entitled’. Now where did I hear that word before? We have an entire new class of ‘victims’ for the dems to pander to.
Frankly, this new Super North American Union is not a good thing because cultures are not equivalent/the same and politicians can be counted on to offer anything to buy their votes, and illegals will vote before you know it. The Ninth Circuit will see to that.
If you don't like Americans, just say so we will understand.
