On a hot, steamy morning, dozens of young women made a hurried walk from the parking lot to the front door of Mississippi's last abortion clinic.

Greeting them outside the Jackson Women's Health Organization were about 10 anti-abortion activists, some carrying signs with gruesome pictures of aborted fetuses.

*sigh*

“... forcing many women — mostly poor and black — to drive long distances. “

Whatever the color, I guess the drive is farther than from his _______ to her __________.

A clinic patient, who asked that her name be withheld, complained about the cost of having to drive across the state for the initial consultation at the only available clinic, then having to wait a day for the abortion procedure.

"The cost is just outrageous," she said. "I think they are just trying to make it hard."

In these people's benighted brains, nothing should be easier and cheaper than killing your own child.

Who can stand in the way of infanticide for fun and profit? It is as Roman as it gets folks.

What a shame that in our compassionate modern society, those little bundles of love have to travel so FAR to be mutiliated to death. You'd think a decent woman's health organization would provide a coathanger for backup just in case condoms don't work.

One of the most effective strategies in the war with the left is to hang them from their own hypocrisy. For example, let an abortion supporter prattle on about supporting unrestricted abortion. Then mention how sex-selective abortions in China and India are used to weed out female babies and watch them come unglued about that. Then hang them with the rope you’ve given them.

"State Sen. Richard White, a Republican from Hines County, said his goal now is to go beyond the restrictions. "I feel like in the next couple of years you're going to see Mississippi be the first one to stop abortion."

So far, Mississippi law states that if and when the Roe v. Wade Supreme Court ruling, which allows abortions, is overturned, abortion will automatically become illegal here.

White hopes to push beyond that by sponsoring a bill to overturn abortion’s legality altogether, which would then force a court battle over Roe v. Wade itself.

For Tanya Britton, the president of Pro-Life Mississippi, an anti-abortion group, the short-term plan is to shut down the state's last remaining clinic and then focus on ending abortion nationwide."

So...how many of you need chastising for not reading the entire article? lol

Mississippi is the bellwether state for abortion.

Haley, along with the legislature, has set in place restrictions on abortion that no other state has, to my knowledge.

This is a REAL license plate available to all in MS.

Go suck on that, nay sayers.

You have those plates, too?

God love Tennessee!

Well...I don’t like Algore, but he’s a pimple on TN’s butt. ;o)

I hope the baby killers lose...BIG time.

It’s unusual for men to be like wardaddy...that’s for sure.
But, I’ve found that most Mississippi men “walk the walk”.
(Present company included.)

I think it’s something in the water...;o)

Pro-aborts and other lefties and even Northerners don’t realize this but Mississippi could not do this strong anti-abortion stuff if many, maybe most blacks did not go along with it politically too.

The state is 40% black, if they opposed it in unison, it would lose in the state house

thank ya’ll for the kind words

i pity folks who don’t know the joy babies bring....not to mention the fun making them....there is just nothing better then when they start to know you and respond to ya....they are so strong yet tender feelings....dang you walk by them and don’t pick them up and they sob like they’ve been rejected...I sure love it

i’m gonna miss it
