REDWOOD CITY, Calif. (AP) A top fundraiser for presidential contender Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton turned himself in yesterday in California, where he had been a fugitive for more than 15 years.
Judge H. James Ellis ordered Norman Hsu handcuffed and jailed on $2 million bail. The judge declined Hsu's request to immediately reduce the bail by half, instead scheduling a Sept. 5 hearing to consider the request.
Hsu a benefactor of Democratic causes and candidates pleaded no contest in 1991 to a felony count of grand theft, admitting he had defrauded investors of $1 million in a bogus investment scam. He was facing up to three years in prison when he skipped town before his 1992 sentencing date, Deputy Attorney General Ronald Smetana said outside court.

But Nancy Pelosi said the “culture of corruption” was about Republicans.
So another Clinton fundraising scandal is of no concern to some people, because the Clintons are good Democrats.
that’s because it’s allll about Craig dontjaknow/sarc
Ya, the news media is more fascinated by the “wide stance” of somebody in a bathroom than by the Clintons orchestrating illegal fundraising activities.
Funny how Elliot Spitzer and the NY Times could have had this foreign felon giving lavish parties for the Dems in NY and D.C. for 15 years and not investigate him. That’s the double standard of justice in many rotten, Dem-controlled states writ large. Someone needs to turn over all the rocks on this one.
BTW, his felony was real low-down theft, stealing money and absconding.
Move along folks...nothing to see here....the MSM is circling the wagons around the Clintons again.

Abramoff is small potatoes compared to Hsu. We must hang him around the Democrats’ necks like an albatross.
Everyone who as much as said hello to Jack Abramoff was villified. The same standard must be applied to Hsu.
If the story is able to reach critical mass as Abramoff’s did, we can ride it right through the ‘08 election and ride the Democrats right out of office.
And since he's been on the lam since '91, why in peridition is bail even being considered?!
...perdition....
A very good question that. Especially good considering this character has been convicted already. I'll bet lots and lots of convicts would love to be able to bail themselves out of the slam.

HSU, YOUR SUGAR DADDY NOW, HILL?
Hill's memories of HSU will be fading quickly to "I Don't Recall!"
