Irrespective of the double standard, Craig should resign. The amoral and immoral Democrats re-elect such individuals...but we should send them home. The answer to the double standard is not to adopt the low, immoral, amoral standard, for then all becomes corrupt.

I pray for Craig and his family, that he will overcome his troubles and be able to hold his family together...but I no longer want him representing me. In truth, after his avid support for shamnesty, he had already lost that political support in any case.

“I wish to spend more time with my family”

“Public Service has been very taxing on my health and financial stability”

“I need to spend more time traveling, and inspecting the public toilets in Airports, Bus Stations, Train Terminals, Public Parks, Public Schools and Department stores.”

So many toilets, and so little time....

Homosexuals are not sick people........right?

Whattya think—can we hope for Lindsey Graham to have an active bladder at a rest stop anytime soon? That’d solve a lot of problems for the SC GOP.

My son lives in Idaho. My wife and I just returned from a 10 day vacation there...I love the place and would love to move there some day. Anyway...I spoke to him last night and according to my son and daughter in law, they don't know anyone who's strongly supporting Craig. They were upset with his strong, vocal support for shamnesty but this is over the top. There have been whispers, rumors and jokes about Craig for years...this sealed the deal.

I hope he announces his resignation and Gov. Otter announces his replacement and we're able to put this disgusting episode to bed.

Is there a particular strategy in making this announcement on a Saturday? Do Craig and or the RNC expect this to go away by Sunday evening?

Just curious

Why is this more important than the Clinton fundraising schemes?

Craig is small taters, Clinton is a great big rotten spud!

Hold it, Everybody.

I think Craig was probably doing exactly what the Minneapolis police think he was; however, if I were on a jury, I would probably acquit him unless the police can produce more evidence than they have made public so far.

I thought of this after a caller from Florida on Rush's program today brought up some points.

As far as I know, all he did was touch his shoe to another man's and wave his hand under the stall wall. That's enough to constitute solicitation?

I can't imagine why I might wave my hand under the stall wall, but I can certainly imagine touching somebody's shoe unintentionally. If you did, you would probably say "Excuse me" or "Sorry" or something like that, but what if you didn't know you it? And what if the police officer were overzealous, misguided, malicious, sadistic, mistaken, or didn't believe you?

Furthermore, it reminded me of something:

Years ago, I was returning with my wife and children from Mexico, where everybody was had been very nice. We were all feeling great.

In Miami, as we were waiting to pass through customs, I somehow stepped over the wrong line, and a customs agent, in a very menacing tone of voice, shouted at me: "Get over that line! You are an a--h---!"

I was stunned. I didn't want my young children (or my wife) to hear such talk. But I realized how vulnerable I was--he could hold me up in customs for hours if he wanted--so I said nothing, waited until my family and I had cleared customs, and then asked to speak with the customs supervisor.

The supervisor was very nice. I explained what had happened. He asked me to identify the agent. I couldn't find him.

The supervisor said that he had probably gone for the day; that he thought he might know who it was, from my description; and that he would keep an eye on that agent in the future.

There was nothing more that I could do, and we wanted to catch our plane; so I left and let the matter drop.

Suppose however, that that customs agent--or somebody just as sadistic and crazy--decided to get a job policing the men's room!

Considering the flimsy evidence against Craig, he could haul anybody in on flimsy or made up evidence!

And who knows what constitutes a homosexual pickup signal? I certainly don't.

Evidently it's tapping your foot. What if it's adjusting your underwear or unbuckling your belt and trousers to tuck your shirt in?

Some misguided, overzealous, sadistic, or nutcase policeman could interpret any of these things as some homosexual pickup signals!

Before somebody is hauled in and accused of solicitation, there should be clear evidence and not something that could be absolutely innocent.

No normal man wants to be harrassed by some homosexual solicitor in the men's room. But nobody wants to be accused of such a thing on flimsy evidence either.

If somebody's going to be arrested, the evidence should be definite, and the evidence against Craig looks flimsy to me.

Textbook tactic. Release new you want to bury after the network news on Friday of a holiday weekend. By the time folks return from the beach and watch the Tuesday morning news, it’ll be an old story.

Like an Olympic diver, Craig just wants to take the plunge with as little splash as possible.
