Two Egyptian students at the University of South Florida were indicted Friday for carrying explosive materials across states lines and one of them was charged with teaching the other how to use them for violent reasons.
Ahmed Abdellatif Sherif Mohamed, 24, an engineering graduate student and teaching assistant at the Tampa-based university, faces terrorism charges for teaching and demonstrating how to use the explosives.
He and Youssef Samir Megahed, 21, an engineering student, were stopped for speeding in Goose Creek, S.C., on Aug. 4, where they have been held on state charges.
The two men were stopped with pipe bombs in their car near a Navy base in South Carolina where enemy combatants have been held. They were held on state charges while the FBI continued to investigate whether there was a terrorism link.

I thought that too.
Traditionally, combatants in a war who are captured out of uniform, are subject to the electric chair.
A strictly held time limit to execute the sentence doesn’t need to be held to, particularly if the saboteurs are providing information on their confederates.
But the precedent is there, I can’t see what the problem is.
It’s all a game of sensitivities and perceptions. The U.S. government tip toes around our enemies so as not to “upset” our so-called muslim “allies” on the war on terror, by not executing muslims other than in an actual war zone. A hideous joke. They are either the enemy or not, and they are. And yet the government continues to let them emigrate here by the thousands every year. Delayed suicide. And to think I worry about the future of my children and grand children. We live in upside down times. I don’t recall that the U.S. government let Germans, or Japanese or Communists into this country when we were at war with them, and their cultures and “religion (i.e., ideology)” swore to destroy us. Insanity on the part of government officials who are elitist, ulti-millionaires living in their ivory castles and not understanding the plight of the average American. Madness.

And these reports are being burried like the Mohammed Atta/Osama et al articles that preceded Sept. 11.
All we here about in the evening news is crap like the Congressional investigations about US attorney firings -- that no one, unless [erhaps you're lib in the media yourself, gives a flying hoot about! We're practically back at pre-Sept 11 ignorance levels. Thank you, MEDIA.
And so after our next major terrorist attack, TBD, we'll have a bi-partisan committee "discover" this little underreported news article, posted right here. And somehow it will connect-the-dots that led up to the event, albeit after much destruction of lives, liberty, and property.
They were heading to a nearby navy base where terrorists are jailed. Probably just wanted to leave off a cake with a pipe bomb inside.
