WASHINGTON, Aug. 30 (UPI) -- Nearly half of those asked in a UPI-Zogby International poll said U.S. military action on Iran's nuclear projects is more likely because of the war in Iraq.
Some 46.7 percent of poll participants said they believed the war in Iraq has made it more likely that the United States will use military force to prevent Iran from developing nuclear weapons. Another 19.6 percent said such a course of events was less likely and 22.7 percent said the war made no difference in the policy.
There was a nearly even split among the 6,711 U.S. residents who took part in the poll when they were asked if the Iraq war has led to either support or opposition of possible military action against Iran because of its nuclear program.
About one-third -- 33.9 percent -- said they opposed such an action, but 31.9 percent said the war in Iraq made no difference in how they felt on military action against Iran, and 27.6 percent said the Iraq action led them to support action against Iran.
There is a 1.2 percentage-point margin of error in the data, which was collected Aug. 17-20 in a Zogby interactive poll.
So it is decided according to Zogby - then lets start bombing today. Everybody in??

Using the same logic demonstrated by the rocket scientists polled by Zogby, one could make the case the the war in Iraq also caused the Israeli raid on Osirak. The wisdon demonstrated by “the american people” is these wacky polls really cracks me up.
Since Iran is shelling sites in Iraq, it seems like the least we could do is return the favor.
Yeah....right. So say the same prescient armchair warriors, the same folks who got us into the Iraq nation-building mess....all the while predicting that it would be a cakewalk and that the "Iraq war would pay for itself" via poil.
BTW, airpower won't do it. You're going to have to send it troops to accomplish this. Where do intend to get them?
So airpower and the new bunker buster bombs won’t take out their nuclear facilities and terroris training grounds, which are the only things we are interested in? Remember, we are not trying to hold ground in Iran, only stop WWIII.
Like they would not kill millions of us here in the state?

Because they declared their intent in the 7th century and have been pursuing war against non-Muslims ever since to the best of their ability.....
At the moment - Syria, Iran, Pakistan and Saudi Arabia remain the spiritual and financial womb of the Jihad.....
We can not avoid war.....we are already engaged in that war.
We have simply not delivered the necessary destruction to end the war....
My hope is that we take that necessary step BEFORE they do.
