The 84th National Marble Tournament went off well.

This years event the weather was good with only one rainy day.

Impossible! I keep hearing that we don't "make" anything in America anymore.

I did see that show. I was surprised to learn that the rattle in a can of spray paint is a marble and not a steel ball.

How are you defining the term 'game of chance'? Is a 'game of chance' any game in which a lucky (or unlucky) break can play any role whatsoever in determining the outcome of the game?

I also have memories from when I was a gawky grade-schooler.

I'd make a large ring on the frontroom carpet with string from mom's glass jar.

Sprawled on my knees I used a big marble to knock the smaller ones of my enemy-ette out of the ring.

In my day, a good size bag of marbles was 10 cents at Woolworth's Five and Dime.

I loved the beautiful colors of the marbles and I loved just holding them and looking at the patterns

......and I was a dead-eye dick-ette in shooting, also.
