The mystery of Norman Hsu deepens today with a New York Times report on his collapsing cover stories. While the Gray Lady tries to focus on the sudden retreat of Democrats from a man who has raised almost a million dollars for them, the real story comes in the second half of the article -- in which Hsu appears to be a front:
People who met him said they knew only that he ran an apparel business. Efforts to learn more about his trade hit dead-ends yesterday. Visits to companies at addresses listed by Mr. Hsu on campaign finance records provided little information. There were no offices in buildings in New Yorks garment district whose addresses were given for businesses with names like Components Ltd., Cool Planets, Next Components, Coopgors Ltd., NBT and Because Mens clothing all listed by Mr. Hsu in federal filings at different times.

Did a for real reporter write this gibberish or was this one of those sentences spontaneously spit out by a computer program.
I mean, if this is what a paper prints, after a reporter and editor write it up, no wonder they are going down the hole.
Just an aside rant.
Hsu is already back home in Indonesia at the Lippo company sipping tea with Riyadi.
Mr. Kerrey said he was introduced to Mr. Hsu about two years ago, and shortly thereafter Mr. Hsu joined the board of governors at the Eugene Lang College for liberal arts at the New School. He joined the universitys board of trustees last July.
So much of the university is about the immigrant culture ($$$), and I liked his personal story ($$$), coming from China ($$$), and he had an interest in fashion as well ($$$), Mr. Kerrey said. It all intrigued me ($$$).
He said that the university did not do background checks of prospective trustees, and that he saw no reason to ask Mr. Hsu to resign from its board.
What happened to the supposed ‘voicemail’ Bruno’s aid supposedly left?
Spitz is a seriously compromised, morals deficient, judgement lacking ultra suckup, yes.
I think we’re going to hear soon that he accidentally brutally chopped his own head off while shaving. His composed body will be found in Hong Kong’s equivalent of Ft. Marcy Park.
Just a hunch.
Not to mention the whole Dietrich Snell thing. The Toons certainly have a lot of low friends in high places....
Mr. Hsu appears to be in the same line of work...
"Everyone knows McCain/Feingold only applies to Republicans," averred Eliot Spitzer as he returned $68,000 of Hsu's money. "Just because Mr. Hsu's workers weren't able to leave the factory during the fire doesn't mean he's a slaver. That's impossible, because his skin doesn't reflect enough light."
I think this kind of needs to be a rallying point for Republicans - a chance to put a chink in Hillary’s armor as she marches towards the Democratic nomination. If she can get her nose bloodied enough, she’ll be damaged goods in the general election. Clinton Curruption Part Duex.
Costello: And you don’t know the fellow’s name?
Abbott: Well I should.
Costello: Well then who gave the money to Hsu?
Abbott: Yes.
Costello: I mean the fellow’s name.
Abbott: Hu.
Costello: The guy who gave Hsu the money.
Abbott: Hu.
Costello: The money man.
Abbott: Hu.
Costello: The guy paying...
Abbott: Hu gave Hsu the money!
Costello: I’m asking YOU who gave him the money.
Abbott: That’s the man’s name.
Costello: That’s who’s name?
Abbott: Yes.
Costello: Well go ahead and tell me.
Abbott: That’s it.
Costello: That’s who?
Abbott: Yes.
They have lots of people indebted to them, at varying prices.
The Democrat Majority Press would prefer to focus on Senator Craig.
Using a version of Reagan's retort to Peanut Head: "There she goes again".
Is this a real question, or are you simply attempting sarcasm?
I'm not sure why you think the two are mutually exclusive.
The U.S. garment industry has been sold to the Chinese, with our own tax dollars insuring the loans.
Hsu owns garment factories, therefore he gets rich.
The Democrat Majority Press would prefer to focus on Senator Craig
The drive by media has to focus on Craig. The corrupt campaign money funneling will destory the democrats for 08. The RNC is smart for pushing Craig out of the way ASAP. The HSU story has more legs than Craig. It is a reminder of the Chicom influence during the Corrupt Clinton Era....
Or Katrina... or Gonzalez... or the Iraq civil war... or the Afghan civilian deaths...
