Misrepresentation doesn't help your cause. You know full well that you're pulling that away from it's context which says that they have to go to "the end of the line", so to speak. The only fundamental difference here is that some folks want the current illegals to go home and never be able to come back, whereas others want them to go home and go through the proper channels.
Additionally, Fred is one of those who have promoted the concept of self-deportation, to much ridicule from "round 'em up" crowd, but events in Arizona show that it works -- enforce the laws and they'll go home on their own.
You’re kidding yourself.
Duncan Hunter has NEVER said that we must differentiate between the kind of people that we have here and that we have to, in some way, work out a deal where they can have some aspirations of citizenship.
Fred has. He’s also said:
I dont believe most Americans are as concerned about the 12 million that are here as they are about the next 12 million after that.
WRONG. and,
Prove you can secure the border and then sit down and work out the rest of it.
No Fred, no deals, no working it out the rest of it, NO AMNESTY. It’s really quite simple...
“As for the 12 million illegal immigrants already in the nation, Hunter told the crowd, “They have to go home.”
Period.
You are misrepresenting what Fred said, not Kimberly. In that same quote he said sending them back is “not going to happen”. For your enlightenment:
Because we allowed ourselves to wait until we woke up one day and found 12 million illegals here, theres no easy solution. And I think that you have to realize that youre either going to drive 12 million people underground permanently, which is not a good solution. Youre going to get them all together and get them out of the country, which is not going to happen. Or youre going to have to, in some way, work out a deal where they can have some aspirations of citizenship, but not make it so easy that its unfair to the people waiting in line and abiding by the law.
