How much does that work out to per person in New Orleans.
The Greater New Orleans population was approximately 1.4 million prior to Katrina.That brings the absurd bailout to $90,714 per person. The divisor will get a little bit bigger when you include other parts of the Gulf region.
Iknow, I know...too damned much, that's how much! Anyone know how much money the government put into South Florida following the devastation casued by Hurricane Andrew in 1992? I don't remmeber Homestead FL residents standing outside their flattened, storm demolished homes 2 years after the storm demanding that the government hurry up and fix their house. But that's just me.
The American people deserve to see a list of exactly where all that money has gone. I’d bet that at least 30% has disappeard into someone’s pockets.

Not only was most of the money funneled into democrat pockets, but NO was NOT, repeat NOT ripped apart by the hurricane. Mississippi’s coast was ripped apart by the hurricane but NOT NO. A minor storm surge caused as a side effect of the hurricane caused the decaying dikes to fail and that’s what messed up NO. Decaying dikes were in bad condition because years of funding to keep the water barriers up to snuff was funneled into democrat pockets. Those democrat thieves were elected and reelected by the idiots who are now whining. Screw them all, bulldoze the entire place including the criminals and put up a marker dedicating the resulting mess to the criminal democrat party and their love of “the common man”.

Here is a link that will give you access to pictures that show various areas of New Orleans and how they have or have not yet come back. Keep in mind that most of these properties sat in at least 6-8ft of water for three weeks or more before residents were allowed back in the city. Also keep in mind that individual financial ability among homeowners played a large role in what has or has not been achieved. Even those with all the insurance you can buy had trouble getting their claims settled. Many people found their livelihoods were also wiped out by the storm and that complicated things even more.
