You gotta admire the way the Paulie Girls keep coming up the slope however....(chuckle)
Get used to it. LOL.

I’m a vet of the internet wars in what were once more ‘open’ political forums. There really isn’t any difference between the Paulistinians and any other ‘sub set’ on the ‘net.
They are devoted to the extreme, they are always on the ‘net, and they’ll proclaim their view no matter what comes out of Paulies pea brain at any given moment.
Its impressive, when you step back and watch for a while.
Utterly worthless as it relates to gettin him beyond ‘fringe candidate status’ however.
Because they simply can’t overcome his own words.

The key point is that it's not just the net. Check out this video from the Jacksonville, FL Meetup group. Be sure to watch the whole thing. At about 2:40, we start to get the local news coverage. The anchor starts out, "Who is Ron Paul and why is he blanketing Jacksonville with all these signs? Chances are you've seen them. Actually, we know you have, because phone calls are flooding our newsroom. Everyone wants to know, who is Ron Paul?!". Of course, the news people are clueless. The Ron Paul campaign probably didn't even know this Meetup was doing this. This was the effort of 30 people working for 3 days and spending only $300 (not to be counted in RP's campaign contribution either).

Thus far, Badeye, no other candidate has been able to match our self-organizing efforts. Over 700 MeetUps. Over 30,000 activists. And we've barely begun.

You need to understand that there are people out there disgusted with what they see as politics as usual. These folks don't think like us, they're not in-depth like us when it comes to the issues.
These are the very "sheeple" that FReepers used to mock. Now all of a sudden we have a presidential candidate who they can relate to, and FReepers now call them "kooks" or "nutjobs" or telling them that they're wasting their time.
Whatever you may think of Ron Paul, you cannot deny the fact that he has a large network of grassroot supporters, who are using THEIR time, THEIR money, and THEIR resources spreading his message. Name another candidate that has the grassroots like Paul. Obama? His support is all MSM-driven. He doesn't have real grassroot support, I'm talking feet on the ground, people VOLUNTARILY handing out literature and fliers for him. Fred Thompson? Sure, the grassroots is there, but Fred's grassroot are mostly rank-and-file Republicans who are turned off by Rudy McRomney. Even Fred Thompson is not attracting folks who have previously never been involved in politics before.

"Because they simply cant overcome his own words." Ding-Ding, we have a winner.
