Each of us who has a democrat rep and/or senator can check to see if they received Hsu donations. If they have, call and write their offices to request specific information on which charity the money was given to, or how and when, to whom, and in what amount the money was returned to the donor. As a constituent, you are entitled to an answer, and that answer—or lack thereof—is of interest to your local media.

Even if a direct Hsu donation is not readily apparent, we can request info from the rep/senator’s office on what specific steps they’re taking to ensure that distributions they’ve received from DNC or DSCC or PACs were not part of any tainted monies.

Even if the named charity is a legit and worthy non-partisan entity, there can still be funny business. If they
never get the check or don’t cash it, the campaign is not out the money at all. Same deal if the funny money donor never cashes the check for returned funds. It still sits in the pol’s account and presumably qualifies for matching funds from taxpayers.

Probably to the Boys & Girls Club of New York City (and, voila!, Al Franken gets a donation for his Senate run)
