Foot-Tapping Ritual Common in Sex Sting

MINNEAPOLIS (AP) - A foot-tapping ritual was a common thread in many of the 41 arrests reported during a four-month airport bathroom sting that snared Sen. Larry Craig. An undercover officer would take a seat in a stall. Soon another man would sit in the stall next door and start tapping his foot, perhaps moving it closer to the officer's. The officer would move his foot up and down slowly. The suspect might then extend his hand under the divider between the stalls, sometimes repeatedly. That would be enough to get the man busted.

Airport police reports obtained by The Associated Press gave strikingly similar accounts of the events that led to the 41 arrests officers made for alleged lewd conduct in public restrooms in the main terminal of the Minneapolis-St. Paul International Airport during the May-August sting.

Gee, I'm learning way too much about what some people get up to men's rooms.

But what about what companies or organizations can do to prevent it?

Is it really necessary to run these sting operations or are their other measures to clean things up?

These sorts of antics don't go on in most public facilities, do they?

So what makes some men's rooms pick-up places and keeps others under control.

You do hear stories about this sort of thing. Highway rest stops are always closing down and reopening. Are they any more secure after the renovations?

One public library nearby made gents, but not ladies, ask for the key at the desk. Obviously you can't do that at an airport.

But what could they have done?

The toilets at the library at UNC in Chapel Hill, NC are notorious gay trolling sites.

Why do they call this disgusting lifestyle ‘gay’?

My now gay brother says whistling a tune in the bathroom is “the signal”, not tapping your feet. If you are straight, it is probably just not a good idea to be reacting to music at all while in the men’s room.

You don’t say! In Kentucky two shopping bags are considered matching luggage, and very cosmopolitan.

“Mothers teach their daughters how to handle unwanted attention from a young age.”

The mothers teach their daughters to handle unwanted attention from aggressive adult homosexual women? I didn’t suspect it was that much of a problem.

Nice try but it is hardly the same thing or same situational occurrence. I have never heard of ONE girl being kidnapped, taken, raped, and killed by an adult women.

Search on google for “girl kidnapped, raped, and killed by an adult woman”. Count the number of different articles. Run the same search replace “girl” with “boy” and replace “adult woman” with man.

Hopefully you will see the difference and why I referenced it in my post. It really has nothing to do "with men are the ones who go bonkers over homosexuals". Rather it is a sad fact of life and reality. Going by statistics, a young boy is more likely to be killed by an adult male than a young girl being killed by an adult woman.

The profile for the two different situations is HEAVILY lopsided towards boys being kidnapped, raped, and or killed by adult male.. rather than a girl being kidnapped, raped, and or killed by adult woman.

A parent and society can not ignore the facts.

I like to stay hydrated, and so I can’t go downtown to shop. Forget the perverts! The restrooms are unspeakable. I stay on this side of town where the malls are. Public pressure keeps the restrooms tolerable.

Male homosexuals have a lot of hostility towards women, in case you didn’t know.

I used to wonder why so many women I knew had gay friends. But then I thought about it and they have so much in common to talk about (fashion, hairdressing, interior design, men...). Plus, a single girl can go out in public with a gay male and feel “protected” from unwanted advances almost as if she were with a real guy and she doesn’t have to worry about her escort wanting favors at the end of the date.

Yes. I was not addressing that but your specific comments about women train girls how to handle being approached and most men being homophobic.

Homosexuals may have a lot of hostility to women but the vast majority of victims are boys, not girls. That is in line with my post that started our exchange.

Demented perverts?
As opposed to regular, run of the mill perverts?
