Frank doesn’t want him to resign because his Republican replacement would have an advantage as the incumbent in the next election.

Frank is just excited to think about hooking up with Craig in some senate restroom. Everyone keeps pushing for a more bipartiasan spirit in Congress...

Frank is actually being politically savvy by saying this. He knows that if Craig stays in the Senate, he will be a lightning rod for bashing the GOP over all gay rights issues. Bingo!
To: zencat
Frank wants him to come tap his foot beside his restroom stall.

I truly don't know what's worse--being a hypocrite about one's butt-piratical tendencies or being an out and proud type that wants to force the rest of us to accept your strange bathroom behavior.
Both types need to be run out of elective office, in my opinion.

I don’t know much about Craig and even less about how he really thinks about things but I have wondered about other things that politician does....
Which should take presitance, a politician voting on the issues that he really feels comfortable about vs a politician who votes in the way he thinks his constituents put him in office to do?

Who's to say he hasn't? I'm willing to bet that Bwarney has all kinds of files on "buddies" of his in DC. He's pretty much immune now, after all. After what he did--and was forgiven for by the idiots in his district--I don't think any scandal can touch him

Maybe Craig thought 3 taps on a foot was code for “Pass the sports page please.”

I know, what an opportunity!
Frank said, “Hey, who hasn’t solicited sex in a public restroom?”
Craig: “You work on conservative issues for years and get no attention, but just suck one .... and everybody assumes you’re gay!”

It depends on whether or not they agree with me ;)

Frank knows the Republican governor of Idaho (Risch) will appoint a Republican to replace him, who will get re-elected next year, whereas Craig would not.
Barney Frank is almost as shallow as the people from his state who re-elect him.
