Senator Larry Craig is either incoherent or incompetent – or both. His press conference on Tuesday afternoon was exactly the wrong thing to do - on nearly every level. And I for one do not believe that most of his story holds.
Save this one item, when he stated clearly, "I am not gay!"
I'm sure there was no merriment whatsoever in his life the preceding number of hours up to the press conference.
If he meant that was "not homosexual" that too is also likely.
Homosexuality is not a state of defined being. Rather on the best science man has gathered we understand it to be a series of emotions, feelings, desires, choices, and most importantly behavior.

Well, first, if they choose to be homosexual then they ARE homosexual. Why anyone would choose that sort of lifestyle is beyond me. But then, there are a very large number of lifestyle choices that people make that astound me, from bizarre body piercings and tattoos, mountain climbing and other extreme sports, to pedophilia and beastiality.
I have gotten beyond the question of whether people choose to be homosexual or otherwise to the question of whether acting upon those inclinations is right or wrong. I have a number of inclinations that I and most people restrain myself from acting upon because it is either wrong, unseemly, dangerous or likely to result in ridicule. That doesn’t mean that others cannot, in some of these instances, act upon them— only that they cannot act upon them without risk of condemnation or ridicule.

The cop wasn’t “picking on” Senator Craig, he was enforcing the law against having sex in a public bathroom!
We used to have a park here in Central Point that got so bad with homos meeting for sex that eventually it was shut down.
I applaud what the cop did, it needs to be done everywhere.

Agreed. But we also would restrain at least some of the behavior associated with the abnormal condition. We wouldn’t ridicule it, but some behavior that might be attributed to the condition would not be tolerated.

True, but there was no sex, in the restroom or elsewhere. I confess I don’t know whether these sorts of signals only call for sex in the restroom, as opposed to elsewhere. There are some things of which it is fortunate to be ignorant.
I don’t like it either. I just am not convinced it is illegal. I do feel that it is wrong, on many levels, adultery being the least of them.
I don't think putting your hand or foot under the stall in the men's room is the kind of thing that happens to one.
