What is surprising is that the western nations seem shocked (shocked!) that China is acting in such an obviously hostile manner. Chinese and Russian actions have repeatedly demonstrated in recent years that their intent toward the Western nations is hostile.

The fools in West will naively chant "the Cold War is over, Russia is now a partner" and "China is capitalist!" until we're staring in the face of another World War.

That’s a big duh, isn’t it? I guess some are surprised.

Korea in the 50s, Tibet, Vietnam, War with India, armed conflict with the Soviets, Taiwan........ China is Communist. They apply the new form of hybrid communism that evolved post Cold War where some free market activities are applied but the same old communists rule the country. Their agenda is the same, those in power are the same, and their methods largely remain the same. They are neither passive nor introverted or allied in interests, all misconceptions largely accepted by many in the West. As China grows in economic power, technological capability, and military might, their tone will change, it’s already happening.
