"Catch and release is a Circus."

Seven nervous men tell tales, creating more nervous men. Besides, they no doubt searched everything they had with them thoroughly.

Well...tell us.

Tell us exactly who the man are and what they are doing. You were there, right? You questioned the men personally, right?

Oh, ok...no need to answer my previous post then. I'm sure glad this thread hasn't been hijacked by troop supporters.

>>>I’m not so sure I’d call them released.<<<

How about "released from the fring pan into the fire"?

Lets hope!

Congratulations! There are too few of us that realize we are reacting with incomplete information and that our war-fighters and leaders may occasionally know what they are doing.

At the very least, ruffling Ahmadinejad's feathers isn't a bad thing!

We just wanted a peek at that laptop.

The guys had 1AK and 2 9mm... they aren’t quds... and the info on that laptop is MUCH more important than the goons who were carrying it anyway.

“...they have been handed over to Iraqi authorities.”

“I’m not so sure I’d call them released” ... my thought exactly

...and I love the idea that they got a peek in that lap top

So let me get this straight—You really believe that an Iranian in Iraq, representing the Iranian government, who says he/she to promote trade, is to be taken at face value? You probably also condemn the air line passengers who took matters into their own hands when a bunch of alleged Mullahs started acting up in the aisle of the aircraft—and just happened to drop OBL’s a few times as they chanted whatever it was they were chanting.

You know what? I think a Middle Eastern type could be standing beside you with a hand grenade and you would do nothing. Why would you do nothing? Because he hadn’t pulled the pin you could not read his mind to discern his intent.

Do you ever listen to yourself? And to think my son has been in harms way 5 times defending this country so pathetic people like you can say such stupid things.

WTF are you talking about? You best straighten up and take that attitude elsewhere.

So let me get this straight—You really believe that an Iranian in Iraq, representing the Iranian government, who says he/she to promote trade, is to be taken at face value?

Yes. You know why? Because the people in the armed forces that are there say so. I am not there, so I cannot say. You are not there. You cannot say. Do you mean to tell me that you know exactly what those Iranians were doing? I don't trust those Iranians anymore than anybody else. But someone let them go. And that someone just happens to know a little more about the situation than me or you. How can you say they are wrong...sitting in front of a computer....10,000 miles away?

I'll tell you what...if I ever talk to anyone in the Pentagon or the CIA, I will tell them to relieve all the military officers of their duty and when they need any advice on how to handle any foriegn policy situation, just ask dooltotheend, a guy sitting in front of a computer yapping on a political forum. He knows it all!

As for the other comments you made......uhm....WHAT?

You’re right. Iraq has extensive economic and social relationships with Iran, including large scale purchase of Iranian electricity. Too many reactionary no-nothings venting predictably here.
