Of course Elizabeth has to bring her cancer into the picture.

Wow pretty petty to defend herself against a blogger and a blogger’s opinion. Maybe she can hunt critics down and scold them at their own front doors.

I think Elizabeth Edwards just gave higher visibility to this by responding to a blogger who probably isn’t very well known.

Having said that, just because John and Elizabeth Edwards are totally wrong politically doesn’t mean they are lousy parents. That’s a low-blow. Of course, not so low a blow that Elizabeth herself didn’t engage in low-blow shots at Mary Cheney in 2004.

I don’t know anything about Edwards kids, but I see nothing wrong with taking them along.

Should not her very masculine husband be taking up the cause here?

Sending the kids to live with a nanny while you go out campaigning , is bad. I don't see the problem taking them along.

They can learn failure at an early age.

Elizabeth Edwards is a limousine liberal moonbat nut. She has posted at DUmmieland.

If I had only a few years to live and children the ages of hers, I would go home and make memories with them. We would bake cookies and takes walks and read bedtime stories.

You don't get to judge me...

Isn't that precisely what elections are about in a democracy: Our right as voters to pass judgement on the people who propose to be elected to lead us. This is the same type of hipocracy as when people running for office ask us to stay out of their personal life and judge them on their "merits" instead.

No, WE get to decide what to judge politicians by, and we must never forget that. If they think we have the wrong opinion of them, then they are free to explain themselves and try to sway us but they DON'T get to tell us what to base our votes on. If they can't accept that, they should get out of politics and move to Cuba.

The real issue is that John Edwards should not be running for President.
If he had a chance in hell it might be worth the sacrifices his family is making on his behalf, but he does not.

I don't think taking them with her makes her a bad parent. But going after this blogger was a very poor decision.

The Edwards' are losing it.

I consider using cancer as an excuse for poor behavior to be just more poor behavior. I’ve known a lot of people who have had cancer, and many of them died from it, but not one of them used their illness as an excuse for bad behavior. Most of them actually became more kind and thoughtful. Mrs. edwards is as much of a tacky creep as her husband.

“Just like you don’t get to decide what makes me happier, I don’t get to decide what makes Hillary happier.”

hmmmmm Lizzie has been deciding what will make people happier the whole time shes been out on the campaign. and if she doesnt get to decide what makes Hilliarity happier why did she say what she said to begin with? I also noticed how she once again mentioned her illness which to me has become the blanket she hides behind when she is confronted.

How does the blog authenticate Elizabeth Edwards? Could it be a poser, a plant, a proxy? Can the media even frame the question “how do we know that this was Elizabeth Edwards doing he posting?”

Charitable. Elizabeth Edwards is a despicable a-hole and an embarrassment to American politics. Waving her cancer in the air is beneath contempt. The blogger mom isn’t much better. Who is she anyway, besides nobody, and why should anyone care what she thinks?

“You don’t get to judge me because you think you know exactly what you would do if you had my disease.”

Gosh, didn’t expect her to bring that up. What a surprise.

Edwards and his wife grow crazier, and more embarassing for the Democrats, by the day. I would love to see Edwards break out into his “They’re all out to get me!” speech at the next debate and see what THAT does for his ratings.
