I thought this story was about actual car campers. I saw one on TV. It was small, pulled by a car, and looked neat. I really want one but I didnt catch the name of it. You're probably thinking of a T@b trailer. Very cool. I want one too. I may petition the appropriations department for the funds to buy one.

Hey, you can sleep in your car, but you can’t drive your house! Makes sense to me!

These people are permanent residents. Walmart caters to transients.

Well, her value hasn’t gone up much. I bought mine in 1979 (it was 8 years old then) for $1,700.00!! (It had NO mileage on it. It was someone’s Grandma’s car.)
Looks like I got ripped off if she’s only worth $2,950.00 on the Free Market these days, THIRTY years later. Am I really THAT old? It can’t be true, LOL!
That must include a cellphone to call for help. :)

“We’re a bunch of liberals here and everyone knows it,” said Long,
And therein lies the problem.

"We're a bunch of liberals here and everyone knows it," said Long, who has lived in his home for 10 years and realizes that people have lived in their vehicles on the street longer than he has been a homeowner there.
In fact, some of the people in the car camper community say the tradition dates back to the 1960s or longer.Too late to whine about it or make it go away, then.
Tolerating pathological behavior is the only way guaranteed to get more and more of it, forever.
Forty-five years?
Yikes!

That was the rage for a while. Big malls would rent space to motor home and airstream types in a corner of the lot for overnights.
I worked with a guy that had his Saab 900 stolen. The cops found it in a seedier part of Boston. A couple of bums were living in it. The interior had to be completely replaced.
