Happy Birthday BBQ for Ron Paul
Ron Paul 2008 ^ | August 28, 2007 | Neal Moore

Posted on 08/28/2007 2:11:50 PM PDT by NapkinUser

Texas City, Texas – An overflow crowd of energized supporters rose to their feet and cheered as Congressman Ron and Mrs. Carol Paul arrived; a chorus of “Happy Birthday” for Dr. Paul then followed from the standing-room-only gathering, mainly of constituents from Texas’ 14th congressional district.

From the cutting of the birthday cake, through a fundraising auction featuring photographs and mementos, a Ron Paul autographed Constitution copy and commemorative edition Martin Henry Rifle, the crowd erupted frequently into applause, making this Texas-style auction anything but silent.

After those gathered enjoyed plates stacked high with chicken and beef BBQ, baked beans, potato salad and mountain-high chocolate cake, Dr. Paul took the stage and delivered his thanks for the votes that have repeatedly returned him to Congress with a mandate to uphold the Constitution, oppose big government and defend Liberty. With his trademark humility and uncommon good sense, Dr. Paul spoke of constitutional prescriptions for the many issues facing not only Texas, but the nation as a whole.

Dr. and Mrs. Paul then met personally with his many constituents, who came forward with questions, autograph and photograph requests, and words of encouragement. It was indeed a Happy Birthday BBQ for Dr. Paul.

I hope you aren’t including me in your RINO count. Wanting to win a war does not make one a RINO. Opposing a completely unqualified dipstick who’s running for the Presidency does not make one a RINO.

Those were the good old days.

Is it the redundancy of paleopipsqueak that bothers you rather than Dr. Demento's cut and run policies or his role as apologist for Al Qaeda. Inquiring minds want to know.

Yeah, but Dr. Demento’s speeches aren’t quite heavy enough to be classed with his pals’ attacks on the WTC and the Pentagon.

As to Dr. Demenhto, there is nothing to debate. Treason is and always will be treason.

Anti-war men have no business running for Commander-In-Chief.

Ron Paul would *render* the constitution a suicide pact.

Same connection i have with a Brett Favre to Donald Driver touch down pass: I support it and I’m very proud. The difference between me and Ron Paul is that I don’t claim to be a Bear fan.

In other words, no connection to it whatsoever except in your own imagination. Like I thought.

Maybe if you drank more you’d make more sense.

I saw the first commercial today in the American Wild Shrimp marketing campaign.

Why would anyone buy American shrimp when farm raised shrimp from China are much cheaper?

He isn't fighting like he should be fighting, either.

Yes, that's why we own Anbar. Give me a break.

That statement would have been stupid from anybody, but from a supporter of the "This is too hard let's cut and run and there was no bloodshed when we left Vietnam" superhero Ron Paul, it goes 5 feet past the edge of the stupid chart.

1. To make Ron Paul glow inside.

2. For the same reason no one wants to give their cat food with Chinese ingredients anymore.

Of course, I fried up a mess of farm-raised shrimp a couple of weeks ago in my special garlic and parsley sauce, and it didn't cause me any brain damagamageamage.

At least 18. But you’ve been told it’s not terror related.

Funny how none of the Paulites ever recognize how few of those incidents...

...involve anyone directly connected to Al Qaida. ("Inspiration doesn't count. the President can't stop "inspiration.")

...involve foreigners who are here illegally.

...have been on the scale of anything like what we all expected to happen in days or weeks when we got up on September 12, 2001.

BTW, for my curiousity...what are the 18 incidents you mention?

You keep claiming I alleged a connection, but I only said he'd be proud.

To play "gotcha," you have to actually "get" somebody. A for effort though.

Again, I must agree with a fellow Freeper and chastise you, Black Elk. Al Qaida are not Ron Paul’s “pals,” they’re just guys he wants to surrender to. It’s like saying that 1940 France was pals with Nazi Germany. Please make a note of your egregious error. :-)

And you can thank FreeRepublic for ferreting those out. Do you think you'd know these attempts if you lived at DU or KOS?

Here are a few “non terror” related attacks.

Anthrax post 911. Snipers in DC, LAX shootings, Appalachian School of Law shooting, American Airlines flight 587, Oklahoma University’s suicide bomber, Oil refinery explosions, Seattle Jewish federation shootings, Afghani Driver Plows Into People in San Francisco, 2003 blackout....

I acknowledge them, but hey what do I know, I support Paul and his desire to close the borders, kick out the illegals, arm the American citizens and fight terrorism the right way.

We’ve had 11 years to get Osama and his base since they declared war on us. Sorry I’m a bit impatient, Unlike Clinton who did nothing to find him after he attacked us and unlike Bush who gave up months after 9/11, Paul actually still wants to hunt him down and I’d like a President who is committed to that.

I spent years on FreeRepublic helping to ferret these out. The Threat Matrix threads was one of my early haunts.

I’ve never even been to DU or KOS so I wouldn’t know. Liberals make me physically sick.
