Happy Birthday BBQ for Ron Paul
Ron Paul 2008 ^ | August 28, 2007 | Neal Moore

Posted on 08/28/2007 2:11:50 PM PDT by NapkinUser

Texas City, Texas – An overflow crowd of energized supporters rose to their feet and cheered as Congressman Ron and Mrs. Carol Paul arrived; a chorus of “Happy Birthday” for Dr. Paul then followed from the standing-room-only gathering, mainly of constituents from Texas’ 14th congressional district.

From the cutting of the birthday cake, through a fundraising auction featuring photographs and mementos, a Ron Paul autographed Constitution copy and commemorative edition Martin Henry Rifle, the crowd erupted frequently into applause, making this Texas-style auction anything but silent.

After those gathered enjoyed plates stacked high with chicken and beef BBQ, baked beans, potato salad and mountain-high chocolate cake, Dr. Paul took the stage and delivered his thanks for the votes that have repeatedly returned him to Congress with a mandate to uphold the Constitution, oppose big government and defend Liberty. With his trademark humility and uncommon good sense, Dr. Paul spoke of constitutional prescriptions for the many issues facing not only Texas, but the nation as a whole.

Dr. and Mrs. Paul then met personally with his many constituents, who came forward with questions, autograph and photograph requests, and words of encouragement. It was indeed a Happy Birthday BBQ for Dr. Paul.

For sarcasm to work, it must contain a grain of truth.

I am not Al Qaeda's spokesthing in America. PaleoPaulie is. He chose to be their propagandist. He can pay the consequences now and forever. As can those who ally with him in spite of his antiAmerican antiwar crusade.

I also forgot that they probably BBQd paleoPaulie federally subsidized shrimp.

Anyone with the slightest degree of pantywaist to their foreign policy in regard to the jihadists lost me on the numerous occasions when Orthodox Jewish grammar school children (not just any Jewish kids which would suffice as an atrocity but the really religious ones) were blown up by the busload by Islamofanatic looney tunes whom your boy paleoPaulie is effectively defending.

Get back to me when the last jihadist is incinerated.

I am Catholic but what they do to my Savior's relatives, they do to all those who were saved.

Your post is so full of wrong, I don’t know where to begin correcting it.

Perhaps I will merely stand aside and mutter to myself about willful ignorance.

More people might agree with your posts if you would simply state your position without all the label-hanging and puerile name-calling.

Childish words make an author look foolish.

Forgive me for saying that Ron Paul would never get a Birthday wish from me. But more of a "go to hell and go %$#@ yourself" wish, instead.

In order for you to support this waste of oxygen, you also must believe that the US was complacent on 9/11.

And then you would have to be too stupid to remember to breath.

He's got more grassroot supporters than all of the other candidates. Obviously there's folks liking him.

I'm sure he's not crying over the fact that you don't support him and lob the same-old BS allegations that's been already debunked.

That's pretty rich really, coming from someone whose tagline celebrates the lighthearted side of Torquemada's little auto-de-fe BBQs in Spain in which the meat being barbecued was alive. And Jewish.

What a sweet picture of Dr. Paul with his cake. I hope our well-wishers weren’t waiting to ambush him with a cake after every event on that day. Oh, well, he could gain a few pounds with no harm, I guess.

Woh, very cool fundraiser prize! That had to be a hit with a Texas crowd.

I saw the first commercial today in the American Wild Shrimp marketing campaign. Paul must be so proud!

Black Elk, Xenalyte is right to take you to task. Allow me to explain.

You see, today we got to see Mahmoud Ahmadinejad say that he's just waiting for us to pull out of Iraq (just like Ron Paul wants) so his country can move their army in and "provide stability." So, properly, you should have asked if Ron Paul and his Iranian buddies are barbecuing our country.

But it was a minor mistake, so I'll overlook it this time. :-)
