If the same situation were to happen to Donovan McNabb, Peyton Manning, or LaDainian Tomlinson, the story would have an entirely different importance. Their teams need them.
The Eagles won the division without McNabb at the helm last season. He’s the most overrated QB in the game, who choked in the Super Bowl [literally vomited in the huddle], yet continues to be held up as a gold standard for his position.
Rush was right about this guy: he’s a media darling that the left wing sports press is openly rooting for on the basis of liberal white guilt, and their outcry over his comments proved his point.
Donovan McNabb, the most overrated QB in the NFL?
That would have been—Michael Vick.
The Falcons don't need Vick? We'll see how that line changes when they go 4-12 this season. They were "NFC Championship contenders" within the past 2 years.
Rush was wrong. Because:
1) McNabb is a much better than average QB. Check out the numbers.
2) McNabb has not EVER gotten a break in the media, especially here in Philly.
That was true in years past, but this year, you'd be smart to draft him onto your Fantasy Team.
