A flagrantly and shamefully dishonest thread has been posted by aMorePerfectUnion for the purpose of duping careless readers into believing that Mitt Romney wants to legalize abortion. In fact, Mitt supports the idea of allowing states to criminalize abortion (abortion is already legal). That's the same position taken by just about every other Republican candidate for president including former abortion lobbyist Fred Thompson.

Tom Tancredo supports a constitutional amendment that would protect the right to life. Which of the other candidates have taken as strong a stand? Hiding behind the "state's rights" argument is immoral. If abortion is murder, then it's murder in all 50 states.

If Roe v. Wade is reversed and the decision to outlaw abortion goes back to the states, which states would actually outlaw it? It is my impression that most (but not all) states would choose to keep abortion legal, although possibly restriction on late term abortions.
Prior to the passage of Roe through the Blackmoon court abortion was legally available in every state to protect a woman’s life. Roe and Doe v Bolton was societal engineering not merely ignoring the aliveness of the unborn but denying it mattered a whit to the liberal choice. Roe will not be stopped until the personhood of alive sensing unborn children isprotect under the Constitution as already provide by current amendments.
