Bill Maher is an overly self satisfied POS. I've seen bits and pieces of his "comedy specials" on HBO, and I found myself waiting for him to say something that was either witty or funny. He's a regular at the Playboy mansion, and the editors have really taken to fawning over him. His interview was really the last straw for me. While the magazine has always slanted left, over the last year or so, maybe a bit longer, it's taken a very hard turn to the left. I've decided to let me subscription run out, and I've been a subscriber for nearly 20 years.

It's gotten to the point that I embarrassingly tell people that I only read Playboy for the pictures!

I don’t think I’ve ever read an article printed in Playboy. I have taken a gander at the pages, mostly when I was in my teens and twenties, but it just isn’t my cup of tea. As an adult I’ve seen some playboy magazines a few times, and I’ve had a look. Eh... okay.

It’s sorta like sports. I love to play, but sitting on the sidelines watching, or watching television or looking at pictures... no thanks.

The whole idea of Hugh Hefner is distasteful to me. He essentially abuses those women, and none the less new babes flock to him all the time. Then he’s heralded by the media as the greatest thing to happen to sex since the organs.

The guy is creepy looking. As a guy, he’s just one of those people you can’t believe women would pay any attention to. They don’t like you because you don’t know how to treat a lady, and then they flock to this guy.

Amazing...
