Reagan did not wage a hot war against the communists, so don’t pretend he did. He was patient, and he was unrelenting. And he didn’t quit because somebody said, “There will always be communists.”
Agree FRiend. Also the USA fought the communists for decades before President Reagan so I do not think it is historically fair to say that he alone won the cold war. President Truman, Eisenhower, JFK, LBJ, Nixon, Reagan, and Bush Sr all deserve credit in fighting the communism and bringing it to an end, and this end happened during President Reagan and President Bush Sr. administrations.
