There definitely seems to be a PETA-wing of FreeRepublic.

No, there are a bunch of use who find the actions of dad and kid reprehensible, lacking in responsibility and indicative of some serious mental problems. Just saying ‘boys are mean as hell’ is no justification. I think the little bugger ought to be cleaning zoo pens for the next 8 years.

I, for one, don’t care to see animals gratuitously hurt or killed. hunting for food, pest/predator control yes, but ANYONE who just injures animals for the sake of doing it, whatever age, what ever culture is scum (or the child thereof). And yes, there is a wind of People for the Eating of Tasty Animals here.

No lie,

It was only back at the first of the month when the cop shot at a snake and killed the little boy in OK. guess some of the dirt bags on this thread want to charge the cop for animal cruelty.

"Respects the rights and property of others."

I guess that's not on report cards anymore.

Oh please. PETA are a bunch of animal killers themselves, and are the epitome of the screwed up wacko lib organization solely wanting power over your life.

But if you -- or your kids -- come after my dogs intending harm, you better be prepared to be in a world of hurt. Count on it.

The snake that was killed was somebody's pet. This vicious brat just killed it without provocation or a thought to any damage or consideration of its owner, who clearly cared for his pet. A kid 10 years old should be made to pay for it at least. It was no accident. The father who ran away from the scene, dragging his brat kid, is the worst one of all. You don't think the brat and his deadbeat father need to pay for what they did?

On the contrary, I approve of hunting; I approve of using animals in research; I approve of using animals for food; I approve of using animals for some kinds of work. All of these positions are anti-PETA positions.

I don't approve of destroying another person's property. I don't approve of people who try to impose their ignorance and superstition on other people, particularly through the destruction of another person's property. When someone destroys your pet, I'm sure that you'll sing a different tune, and in so doing, you'll reveal your own ignorance and hypocrisy.

Bill
