As to his actions...it does matter in this discussion because the point of this post was, as I understand it, talking about the extreme Islamics who are killing people in the name of their religion and that Jews and Christians are not regularly doing that. You refuted that by referencing Mosel.
In the context of that discussion and your refutation, it does matter because the discussion was not just about such depredations, it was about religions doing them in the name of their religion. MOsel did not do it as a member of his relgion, he did it as a communist concentration camp officer. That is why I indicated that Mosel was a communist doing it, not in the name of Judaism.
Now, that clearly does not justify what he may have done in the least, just sets it in the context and frame of this dicsussion.
I could expect no less from Iranian Christiane Amanpour.
In that photo she look old she remind me of Palenstein woman who Monk also photoshop LOL!
Jeff, you’re doing a lot of dancing around here. You wrote:

No. Here is what the rabbi said, and please pay close attention to his words: “Following the defeat of Nazism, the Holocaust survivors were also in despair. They lost their families, but they didnt resort to killing innocent civilians as a way of alleviating their pain.”
Morel, and please note his name was Morel and not Mosel as you said, was a Holocaust survivor. Remember what the rabbi said? He said: “Following the defeat of Nazism, the Holocaust survivors...” See that? Holocaust survivor. Morel was a Holocaust survivor. He and other Jewish Holocaust survivors took revenge on innocent German civilians. He was not the only one.
“MOsel did not do it as a member of his relgion, he did it as a communist concentration camp officer.”
Again, no. He did it as a Holocaust survivor. He was a Holocaust survivor and he took revenge on innocent German civilians. That’s what the rabbi was de facto, without any reference to Morel specifically, denying ever actually took place and he is wrong.
“That is why I indicated that Mosel was a communist doing it, not in the name of Judaism.”
I never said he was doing it in the name of Judaism. Neither did the rabbi. Again, here are the words of the rabbi: “Following the defeat of Nazism, the Holocaust survivors were also in despair. They lost their families, but they didnt resort to killing innocent civilians as a way of alleviating their pain.”
Do you see “Jew” or “in the name of Judaism” mentioned anywhere in there? No, you do not.
“Now, that clearly does not justify what he may have done in the least, just sets it in the context and frame of this dicsussion.”
This is the frame of discussion:
“Following the defeat of Nazism, the Holocaust survivors were also in despair. They lost their families, but they didnt resort to killing innocent civilians as a way of alleviating their pain.”
Morel was a Holocaust Survivor, a Jew, and he took revenge on innocent German civilians.
Your argument is irrational, and it looks like you have an axe out for Israel. Go to work for CNN, they're looking for people like you.
Having said that, it was not my intent to dance around in the least...it was my intent to draw a distinction between Islamic radicals and their motivations and actions...but that is not the context and, again, I respectfully concede that point.
Outside of that, I believe we are in agreement on the rest.
I saw this on at a cafe-bar the othernight with the family....sound off gratefully.
I could only imagine what it must be like if Amanpour and CNN did anything with God in the title.
Anti-God by default.
How does Emmanuel deal with her?
Is he a God denier too?
dang.....I can remember folks back when CNN it started...it was just newsreaders and little or no posturing....sorta hokey really.
Amanpour is a stupid witch with a faux Brit accent.

“Give it up, you are hanging on to one communist Jew, post WWII, who was a vindicative Holocaust survivor. Now, how in the world does that equate to the endless numbers of young Muslims being trained to go kill Israeli Jews or any other non-Muslims such as the ones in the World Trade Center Towers?”
Where in the hell did you get the idea I was trying to “equate” Holocaust survivors taking revenge against Germans with Islamic terrorists killing thousands of Americans? I did no such thing, and you are a fool if you think I did.
“Your argument is irrational, and it looks like you have an axe out for Israel. Go to work for CNN, they’re looking for people like you.”
I made no argument. None was needed. I merely pointed out that the rabbi made an error and that is irrefutable. I think you need to learn how to read.
More people will have to speak up.
The programs were among the worst, most despicable so called “documentaries” ever shown.
Anti-religion to the core, viciously hateful and anti-Christian, and anti-Semitic, (pro-Palestinian, of course). The only “top level” official that Amanppour could get was that anti-semitic sorry sack of excrement, Jimmy Carter.
Excellent article by Rabbi Hier! Thanks for posting it!
“I dont expect Christiane Amanpour to try to be fair EVER. She fulfills that expection, always.”
Agree, I got my fill of her during Gulf War I so I tune
out. Agree about CNN also.
There is a whole lot of difference between the actions of a dozen people doing what the society forbids and the actions of a society working in concert to commit Genocide. By your standards, all Americans are mass murderers. And Hitler and his empire was good.
What is it about evil men, that they search for some sin in good men to justify a lifetime of it.
Is that [photo of] Rachel Corrie or Christianne Amanpour? I am just kidding.
Actually, by my standards, all murderers would just be murderers and people would not try to excuse murder as if it were nothing.
