The Huffington Post published a plea to the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs today to arrest George Bush for "conduct unbecoming" -- essentially, a military coup against the elected government of the United States. Martin Lewis claims that the military can arrest a President while not conducting a coup d'etat by focusing only on his role as Commander in Chief of the military:

Isn’t this the “definition of sedition?”

An extremely valid question? These days the bar for treason, high crimes and misdemeanors, etc is constantly moving.

The author of the call to arrest the President, Martin Lewis, specifically denies in his post that he is advocating a coup or “any illegal act.” But that is exactly what he is doing.

Most likely in today’s intellectual climate, that brazen denial of the obvious protects him.

Well, since the active duty is pretty busy right now, I suppose the task of tromping on the Constitution and 231 years of freedom would fall on us citizen-soldiers.

I've got news for the author of this piece. Most of us prefer things the way they are, and, if anything, our temptation would be to do something along the lines of Lincoln's secretary of war and go lock up the traitors.

But, instead, we will continue to fulfill our sacred oaths to defend the Constitution and carry out the orders of our superiors, i.e.: the President of the United States.

Except for two very small posts, EVERY single contribution is either a thread starter from enewsreference or a post within a thread that pimps your site. And yes, I went through your whole posting history.

I have some free advice for you: stop doing this or your account may be suspended, or you might be banned altogether. FR doesn’t take too kindly to blog pimps.
