DETROIT (AP) -- Attorney Geoffrey Fieger, best known for representing assisted suicide advocate Jack Kevorkian, was indicted on charges of conspiring to make more than $125,000 in illegal contributions to the 2004 presidential campaign of Democrat John Edwards.
The indictment was returned Aug. 21 and unsealed Friday. It names both Fieger and Vernon Johnson, a partner in Fieger's Southfield-based law firm.

Feiger is a nasty piece of work. Couldn’t happen to a nicer guy.
To: SmithL
I couldn’t stand that guy when I lived in Michigan, I hope they nail him.

I despise Feiger's politics, but I have to admit that having watched him several times on Fox, that he is a very bright man and probably a decent attorney (as long as he doesn't allow his politics to get in the way of his reasoning.)
I won't be sorry if they nail him, assuming he's guilty of this charge, because his politics make him a very dangerous man.

Not that Fieger ever had a chance to beat Engler when he challenged him for MI’s governor race.

Fieger is an amazing brazen total sociopath, evading jail for years successfully.

Do we know if there are investigation-worthy allegations that Edwards know or should have known about the illegal contributions?

Couldn’t happen to a nicer shark, plus it implicates/involves the Breck Girl. A win-win.

Feiger may be over-bearing and not liked but if you are innocent and in need of a lawyer—he would be my pick. Corruption is not only for the elite—sometimes you have to play the big guys’ game to beat ‘em.
To: lainie
It would be funny if Feiger turns on the Breck Girl.

He was the only “expert” last year on FOX who insisted Nifong and the accuser were jerks and the Duke guys were innocent. It took until December for the others to say that it looked like the guys didn’t rape her.

Anything that could be used to pound the final nail in the Edwards Campaign Coffin would be welcome.
