I remember Minot. And NOT fondly.

The town was settled mostly in a gash in the ground that had a tiny river running through it that occasionally flooded. Somehow, the raging, mighty Mouse river didn’t inspire terror.

Being young and from the NYC area, Minot was more of sentence than a assignment. LOL! And when i finally got my orders after 2 years.....it was to send me to Eilson....in January! Needless to say that did little to entice me into becoming a lifer.

Yeah, you could practically jump across the Mouse. But hey at least being in the gash in the ground it did cut the wind down from 40mph to a bracing 25mph or so.
