“I remember Minot. And NOT fondly.”

Being young and from the NYC area, Minot was more of sentence than a assignment. LOL! And when i finally got my orders after 2 years.....it was to send me to Eilson....in January! Needless to say that did little to entice me into becoming a lifer.

Yeah, you could practically jump across the Mouse. But hey at least being in the gash in the ground it did cut the wind down from 40mph to a bracing 25mph or so.

I agree about the wind. I came from a LOT smaller town than NYC, but Minot was still “more of a sentence than an assignment.”

I was glad to get out and will never go back. I don’t care how old, nostalgic, or senile I get.
