“In my day, guys would show up with a case of cheap beer and a nickel bag.”

In my day as well. And back then the beer would have been more effective then the pot we had available then. My beer of choice way back when? I was in the service in 71 and it was Hamms or Grain Belt. Both were about 50 cents a six-pack on base. LOL! And, being stationed in Minot ND, I drank alot on the weekends.

I remember Minot. And NOT fondly.

The town was settled mostly in a gash in the ground that had a tiny river running through it that occasionally flooded. Somehow, the raging, mighty Mouse river didn’t inspire terror.
