The most important point is that there are people in the state department who are busily settling big communities of refugees in strange places, and it is disruptive. Voluntary illegals are not the only foreign settlements taking place.

What is strange about settling refugees there and how is that any different then the patterns of where they wound up before?

90 years ago my Sicilian grandfather got off a boat in NY, went to Columbus and wound up working in a coal mine in Switzer WVA. He met my Sicilian grandmother in Logan County. 40 years later, there were 100 Italian families in Logan County amongst the mountaineers.

Immigrants go where they go, government settled or otherwise.
