Thanks for the ping. I actually heard this reported this morning on NPR. Considering all the coverage they gave to the charges, guess they had to. That said, I would love to see a public call for Jack Murtha to apologize to each of these cleared soldiers. Thereafter, I would like to see him indicted for his corrupt practices...

Noting the difficulties in applying civilian standards to military circumstances, he quoted the late Supreme Court Justice Oliver Wendell Holmes Jr., who served as an infantryman in the Civil War and described war as an “incommunicable experience.”
Holmes also said that “detached reflection cannot be demanded in the presence of an uplifted knife.”.....

Perhaps it may come to past. Though it is hard to see how so many that don’t care what he does as long as the bacon continues to be tossed on the table, would somehow become more solid citizens.
