Iran has developed a 2,000-pound (900 kg) “smart bomb”, official media quoted a Defense Ministry statement as saying on Wednesday, in the latest announcement from Tehran about progress regarding military hardware.

Ever actually meet or talk with any Iranians? There are plenty of very smart people from Iran so it makes sense that there are intelligent people in Iran also.
Technically no. I spoke to Iranian born American citizens. Like they say, the smart ones got out when they could.
Iranians can’t be that bright living under a wacked out government like that.
They can only build one “smart” bomb a year. After all there’s very limited amounts of “smart” in Iran !!!

That F-5 is not a large aircraft..could they really hang a 2000 lb bomb on one? And if so, does it have the necessary avionics to deliver it?

An Islamic version of smart bombs is paratroopers with bomb vests.
