WHO KNEW?!?!?!...........

California has lots of hills.
Get the Prius to 75 at the top of the hill and keep your foot on the gas on the downside and of course it could go 100mph.
You could get a go-cart without an engine to accelerate downhill as well.

"Can Prius top 100 mph? Ask Wozniak" An even better question. Can any "hybrid" vehicle tow a six ton fifth wheel travel trailer? And, if so, how far?

No big deal. My 1991 F-150 will do 105. Course, things are flying off it and it sounds like a runaway freight train!

I can assure you, you know when a car hits 100 mph. He would have been blowing by all the trucks and other vehicles on a busy artery like 5.
BTW, most courts in CA, especially those along Hwy 5, will also impound your licence for at least 30 days for going over 100 mph.

He would have been blowing by all the trucks and other vehicles on a busy artery like 5. If this was I-5 between the Grapevine and Tracy, if you are not doing 75-80 you will be passed by 3/4 of the vehicles on the road, including many big rigs.

OK, squash that image of the Prius being wimpy, as Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger had quipped this year. First, 105 mph, and then 104!
104, 105 ... phooey.
This car idles at 105mph.....
kidding, slightly

I drive a lot due to work. It’s funny to run I-10 past Palm Springs at the flow of traffic, which is usually 85’ish, and see all the Porches, Vettes, Ferrari’s and other exotics doing the speed limit. Apparently the CHP zero’s in on them and has no sympathy for the rich owners.

I recall 11mpg. I assume that's highway and naturally, doing the speed limit.
I'm going by memory from about 1 1/2 yrs ago when I first checked out the Saleen. I was looking for info on a used Jag and found that under Exotic Cars.

Prius must be his spare............The Prius is the car he uses to get to his car. BTW, Mort Sahl, (remember him?) has dubbed the Prius "The Pious."
Since then the ads are careful to say "Pree-yus"
