If the FBI is aware....why don’t they just put a few agents on the ferries over and back, instead of making public pleas???

I'm sure they are...but they need background...and that ain't on the boat.

Hey, jackass, take a WILD guess where that photo was taken (hint, it wasn’t in Wichita).

In any event, you should get some help, you have some serious psychological issues.

These big ferries are relatively soft targets. No ID and no search of vehicles. On Washington State Ferries the passengers stay with the cars.
Sniffer dogs can screen, but not for gas and diesel.

The last three rides I’ve taken from Whidby and Bainbridge were escorted by two gunboats. Can’t recall which branch of the military. Large mounted machine guns on each were not too carefully concealed by black cloth draped over them.

Remember it was an alert Customs Inspector at the Port Angeles Ferry that thwarted the Los Angeles Millenium Plot. Port Angeles is about 30 miles west of Seattle.

These guys are persistent. 9/11 happened eight years after the first WTC bombing. They came back to finish the job.

The Millenium Plot was twarted eight years ago this December...

"The FBI did not say precisely what that unusual behavior entailed."

Why not?

Why, by gosh, they look SWARTHY. Kinda MIDDLE-EASTERN, almost!

Since when did Amish terrorists look Middle-Eastern?

Wonder if this has anything to do with the 7/12/07 plot in Spain to “blow-up” 2500 passengers on a ferry? Authorities detected the plot and threw some extra “sniffer dogs” at the gate. Guess the games will continue for the foreseeable future.

Isn’t it time Seattle was eliminated anyways? I mean, really, what has Seattle given us except soggy weather and liberals?

On Washington State Ferries the passengers stay with the cars.

Did you forget a "don't" in that sentence?

Although folks can stay with their cars, most often they don't -- preferring instead to wander about or sit on the upper decks. Hence, the picture of the two alleged suspcious males, standing outdoors on the deck.

"On Washington State Ferries the passengers stay with the cars."

I'm not sure what you mean by that. Most passengers get out of their cars and go up to the seating areas.

Torching a ferry wouldbe easy and would make a good photo op for terrorists. Just take a van on board loaded with gasoline and maybe some explosives, splash around a few gallons of gasoline, and set it off. You'd have a blazing inferno on the vehicle deck within minutes.

Probably Navy ... there are a lot of sensitive installations thereabouts. For example, Naval Station Everett, home port of the USS Abraham Lincoln, is very close to the ferry routes.

You mean, aside from the B-52 bomber?

Judging by all the infighting and snide remarks on this thread, I’m reminded of the old phrase, “With friends like this, who needs enemies?”

I’d think the real threat would be somebody hijacking the ferry and running it into something like an aircraft carrier.
