King 5 News - Seattle ^ | Monday, August 20, 2007 | KING5.com Staff

The FBI is asking for the public's help two identify two men who have been seen acting strangely aboard Washington State ferries recently.

According to federal agents, passengers have seen the men on several occasions exhibiting unusual behavior. The FBI did not say precisely what that unusual behavior entailed.

Anyone who knows the men or there whereabouts are asked to call the FBI at (206) 622-0460.

Interesting. We were in Seattle two weekends ago for a short vacation, and went on the Seattle-Bainbridge Ferry on Saturday 8/10. On the return trip, in the late afternoon, I observed a pair of small Coast Guard patrol boats, probably in the 18’-20’ range, with a pintle mounted MG in the bow of each, closely escorting a cruise ship that was leaving the docks and harbor. I found it pretty eye-opening.

I saw several other cruise ships not being escorted like this.

FWIW

Well, it is the Left Coast. Maybe the term “Ferry” was a misspelling.

Standing at the edge of a ferry is suspicious?

“Burroughs said the men appeared to be taking an unusual interest in the workings of the boat...”

Don’t tell me; they want to learn to pilot the boat but not dock it.

Maybe it is just the way the photo was taken, but be on the look out for the one guy who appears to have a severe “uni-brow”

Yes, they are among us, now. But they could have come here across the open southern border (which IMHO shoul have been SLAMMED shut on 9/11, or the minute we entered the WOT), or they could have been born here or accepted into our country with legal work or school visas.

The problem is, that they can become what is called ‘home-grown jihadists’. They all go to their mosques, to pray. But those mosques are closed to anyone but their own Muslim members. Inside the Mosques, they can (or no doubt DO) get training in Islamo-fascist extremism.

This is where we (could) find ‘home-grown’ trainees. Sure won’t find it happening at KFC or Burger King or the RCC.

#64 - thanks for the ping!

When you talk about homegrown terrorists, don’t forget the major recruiting going on for islamofascists by CAIR & Co. within American prisons.

But look at Abdullah’s chin. It sticks out prominently. I don’t think the man in the picture has a chin like that. However, the hair is exactly the same.

Sort of like the existing pilots.

Ah yes - prison recruiting! A MAJOR reality. (Gee - I almost forgot about prisons - with all the mosque activity going on in every large city in our country.)

Couldn’t they be separated from others in prisons? Probably not - overcrowding and available space.

If they are recruiting in prisons....their recruits may not be all openly admitting their conversion. Just as the terrorists not in prisons do not admit to their being a part of terrorist cells, either.

I have taken the ferry from Edmonds to Kingston across the Sound many times...

I took that very ferry on vacation once. It was beautiful, and the town of Kingston was so charming. You are very lucky to live in that area!

I hope they catch those suspects.

When the borders are closed to illegals and terrorists, your fairy story about Americans being safe from terrorists and illegals might be believable.
