Bosoms and things: That's not exactly a plot summary of "Tell Me," but it's not a bad place to start. Because that's where many viewers will start. Whatever else it may or may not be, "Tell Me," at least in its current form, will set a new precedent for prime-time TV when it has its premiere Sept. 9: No previous series, on pay cable or anywhere else, has dared show anything even close to this much skin; the climax, if you will, of the first episode finds a woman (Sonya Walger) in her 30s masturbating her husband (Adam Scott) to orgasm, with the entire act and all relevant body parts plainly visible. Even Jane Alexander yes, that Jane Alexander, the snow-domed, regally poised 67-year-old former chief of the National Endowment for the Arts drops trousers for some frisky senior sex

HBO isn’t a “broadcast” channel....which is why they get to have their “Real Sex” porn series as well, without FCC stepping in.
he's right, but there is more to it.
You don't even have to change the channel if it bothers you that much, HBO is a paid premium channel, you can drop the whole network (remember, you actually have to pay to get HBO), if it really bothers folks, vote with the wallet.
I voted with my wallet.
Me: We keep getting movie channels that we don’t want.
Sattelite people: Don’t worry those were free weekends promos.
Me: I don’t want them.
Sattelite people: Don’t worry it’s free.
Me: Really, I don’t want them. I don’t want you to give them to me for free.
Sattelite people: I don’t know what you’re complaining about, it’s free.
Me. I don’t care about the money, I don’t want that in my house.
Sattelite people. Well it’s free to all subscribers, if you don’t want to see it, you will have to block the channels.
Me. You’re telling me that I have to read the manual and program my box if I don’t want a channel that I chose not to subscribe to?
Sattelite people. Yes, we send these channels to all of our subscribers during promo weekends.
Me. You mean the only way I can not get the channels is to terminate my subscription?
Sattelite people. Yes.
At least we agreed on how the conversation would end.
LOL....the ol' SNL classic line. (That's what the mothers of these two goofballs should have greeted them with when they got home....)
I did that a LONG time ago...
I hung on because Episode #3 had a magnificent 15 minute segment on a Cherokee sex therapist. He explained Cherokee sexual lore, knowledge and techniques built up over generations. The information I gleaned was put to immediate use and had wonderful repercussions.
Unfortunately, everything after Episode #3 was a waste of time.
If this show becomes a huge hit, then millions of people will read the article that I started!

The only thing HBO has had for many years that was of any interest to me was “The Sopranos”, and that ended with a whimper, not a bang. I cancelled the day after their finale, snice most of HBO’s other programming is junk and old (not recent)movies.
I'll pass.
Jane you ignorant slut!
She was a mutt 30 years ago.
Free your mind - get rid of your TV. Cutting yourself off from the sewer pipe was the best thing I’ve ever done.
But the TV is everyone's proof that the sky is falling!
I guess the real test will arrive when the first season’s DVD is on sale everywhere ... except Blockbuster and WalMart.
I wonder if she'll make an "endowment" joke.
I should have said subscribers in the case of cable. I liked the Sopranos which was fairly racy. “Band of Brothers” was outstanding. There was an HBO show called “K Street” about Washington lobbying and public relations I liked but it didn’t last. I’m not going to unsubscribe but like someone else said above, I can rent stuff like this in the back room of the video store. But I can see some families canceling HBO and potential public protests over this series.
“He’s right. The government has no place in this. If you don’t want to see the sex, turn the channel.

“But its much more fun for the Nannies among us to decide what should and should not be viewed by consenting adults. Leave it to the evangelical taliban to make sexuality criminal.”
Leave it to Libertarians to put it everywhere.
