An islamist says on Al-Jazeera that "a turkey" is an insult to the country, so to muslims !
A thin sliced turkey sandwich sounds nice for my afternoon snack!
wow, they’re even jumping on the PC bandwagon. i wonder if my grandkids will even be allowed to speak at all in the future.
I can’t think of a worse thing to call somebody than a “Muslim”.
The country of modern day Turkey was call the Ottoman Empire clear up to WWI. In fact, the Ottoman Empire was not replaced by the Republic of Turkey until 1923.
The bird Turkey was call as such before even the American Revolution. The Spaniards brought the Turkey back to Europe. The Aztecs having domesticated the animal for many generations prior to the Spanish arrival.
Ask-Imam.com > Inviting to Islam > Question 4246 from United States
Today is Thanksgiving Thursday (4th Thus. in Nov.) in USA, when Americans feast on Turkeys. Can we Muslims participate in it, by wishing and offering a Turkey to our non-Muslim friends? (see details)More information on this historic event is available at: http://www.usis.usemb.se/Holidays/celebrate/thanksgi.html ? In order to please my friend or neighbor, can I offer them a Turkey (skinned meat) purchased at the local American store (in it?s original packing, to be on the safe side)? ? If so, is it OK that I am buying something for them that is not Zabiha (like I mentioned, they?ll be worried to accept the kind of meat we buy, and since the meat is in it?s original packing from an American Supermarket, there is no liability for me)? And who knows, this way they will open up with me, and will be more receptive when I talk to them about Islam. ? If we Muslims also eat (zabiha) Turkey (since this is made available in stores for this holiday) in this time, are we sinful of imitating them?
Answer 4246
We have studied the background of Thanksgiving day- to express gratitude to the favours of the natives of the 16th century. IN principal to express gratefulness and gratitude for favours rendered is encouraged. However, Thanksgiving being a national holiday express its salient position in the American culture, which has many unislamic values and principles.
Celebrating Thanksgiving purposefully or subordinately is an expression of accepting the general American Culture. It is not celebrated independent of the American Culture. In view of the above it is not permissible to celebrate Thanksgiving Day.

No matter what shape or configuration a Muslim come in, the are ALWAYS TROUBLE. Just another example of ANOTHER troublemaker.
I'll have the roast muslim, with the mango salsa.
They worship a dead warlord. This cannot be overstated.
Sorry, I simply will now worship or bow down to a pagan moon-god that has no relationship to the God of Abraham, I AM.
That youtube was GREAT! Just past halfway, the “London Islamist” goes totally nutz! Thanks for the laugh.
Hell I'd eat all I shot if they didn't taste so damned bad.
Oh, all right, if it’ll make ‘em happy I’ll refer to the bird as a “diaper-headed goat-loving bearded sumbitch.” It’s a little long but if it’ll keep the peace I’ll do it...
Muslim territories are sacred and shall not be mocked. Even lands like Spain that believe they are no “longer” muslim territories.
A Turkish Turkey on the back of a pig (back bacon?), have you no care for what this man is saying? What would Bill O’Reilly do?
What will their reaction be when they find out we have a distilled liquor called “Wild Turkey?”
