Because even though I don't know the circumstances of Fred's divorce, I do know that his ex supports him and that his second wife was not in the picture at the time of the divorce. Thus, I can guess that the divorce was amicable, but I don't know for sure. In the cases of Guiliani, McCain and Newt, we know that they all "traded in" for younger models and did test drives before the old cars were put up for sale.
