As the father of a child with Spina Bifida I am keenly aware of the abuses. When the state hands out placards to thse who are fat (excuse me, have medical conditions arising from being overweight) I see red. Maybe, just maybe, walking a few extra yards will actually help some drop a few pounds.

I am one of those fat people, and you are entirely right. And I wouldn't think of using my entirely voluntary food addiction to try and claim special priviledge. I will choose the closest open, non-handicapped space I can find. And also, I want to be sure that the spaces provided special for those who need them are left open for them.

BTW, since all here are exchanging in free and open discourse, there are a lot of thin or messo-morph people who are lazy as well.
