Why stop at just the budget ? If the majority party is to rule, they should take responsibility for taxes too. Let voters know who/which party to blame for tax increases as well.

I can’t agree. The Democrats will use their majority to buy votes with massive welfare giveaways to both the “poor” and the middle class funded with big tax hikes on the evil undesrving “rich,” which will reach down to you, the real middle class. You’ll have an awfully good chance of getting irreversible socialism with a capital “C” (Communism). As F.A.Hayek wrote, this would be the “The Road to Serfdom.”
